The Community of St. Joseph is made up of women and men joined together in the spirit of the mission of the Sisters of St. Joseph, that all may be one. They strive to unite neighbor with neighbor and neighbor with God, to live simply, act for justice, and live in right relationship with all of creation. All members are encouraged to use and celebrate their gifts as they minister in their diverse paths in life.
A person can become a part of the Community of St. Joseph in one of the following ways.

The Agrégée candidate is formally incorporated following an intense orientation period. An Agrégée may make a vow of fidelity to the charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph.

They choose a ministry with a focus on the mission of the Congregation. The Associate candidate is formally incorporated upon completion of an orientation period.
