Sister Dominic Marie Cormier (Anastasia)

Sister Dominic Marie Cormier (Anastasia), 98, beloved member of the Sisters of St. Joseph in her 79th year in the Congregation, died in Mont Marie Health Care Center, Holyoke, Mass., on April 2, 2014. A native of Milford, Mass., she was the daughter of Dominic and Anastasia (McCann) Cormier. 

Sister Dominic Marie received her early education at St. Mary School, Milford and was graduated from St. Mary High School. She earned an A.B. degree from the College of Our Lady of the Elms, Chicopee. She taught in the schools of the Worcester Diocese at St. Stephen School, Worcester and St. Joseph School, Leicester; in the Springfield Diocese at Holy Rosary School, Holyoke and in the Providence Diocese at St. Joseph School, Newport and St. Francis School, Warwick. She also served as clerk/receptionist at the Tri-Valley Elder Care Center, Uxbridge, Mass. She became a resident of St. Joseph Retirement Residence at Mont Marie in 1992. In 2004 she became a resident of Mont Marie Health Care Center, Holyoke. 
 
In addition to her Sisters in Community, she is survived by her sister-in-law Lucy Cormier of Milford, Mass.; her niece, Yvonne Kozlowski of Milford and her nephews Edmund, Paul and Burton Cormier of Northbridge, Mass., Brooksville, Fla., and Bellingham, Mass., respectively. She was predeceased by her brothers, Burton, Joseph and Francis Cormier.
