Sister Anna James Kilfeather

Sister Anna James Kilfeather, (Margaret), 96, beloved member of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Springfield in her 78th year, died on April 21, 2012 in the Mont Marie Health Care Center, Holyoke, Massachusetts. A native of Pittsfield, Mass., she was the daughter of James and Hannah (O’Neill) Kilfeather. Sister entered the Sisters of St. Joseph from St. Charles Parish, Pittsfield. She earned A.B. and M.A. degrees from the College of Our Lady of the Elms, Chicopee.

Sister Anna James taught in the schools of the Springfield Diocese in Sacred Heart, Holyoke, St. Joseph, North Adams, and St. Mary, Northampton; in the Worcester Diocese in St. Louis, Webster and in the Providence Diocese in Sacred Heart, Pawtucket. She served as the assistant treasurer, the secretary-treasurer and treasurer of the Congregation over a period of twelve years. She also worked in the Finance Department of the Marian Center in Holyoke and in her retirement she assisted as support staff at Mont Marie.
